Healthcare Outreach Program
With an emphasis on the urban poor and disadvantaged peasants, Shri Hari Gaushala Research and Social Foundation launched its health program to provide healthcare to everybody, regardless of geography or socioeconomic standards. We were established to reach out to individuals in remote locations and unofficial settlements of cities where people lack knowledge about basic healthcare, keeping in mind the health of children, women, and other vulnerable populations. Most of these people work as daily wage earners and don’t have time to visit government hospitals for even free health screenings.
Healthcare Program
Children on the streets live in unsanitary conditions and are prone to various infections and diseases. Therefore, regular medical check-ups of the children are done at the full-care Residential Centres and Contact Points. Individual health cards are maintained for each child. Whenever required, pathological tests are conducted as per the recommendation of the doctors. We have a full-time doctor employed at Shri Hari Gaushala Research and Social Foundation solely for this purpose. Apart from that, we also invite external doctors or get the children treated by specialists at hospitals. Children are regularly vaccinated against Hepatitis-B and Tetanus. Also, the health camps are organized at the Contact Points to strengthen awareness and support the basic health needs of the communities.
